I’m so excited about this. It means my training for the half marathon in October officially starts today. My wonderful husband (an avid runner) tells me I should be running 15-20 miles a week before I really start training for a half marathon. At my best right now I’m doing good to get into the gym 3 times a week – and that’s to jog/walk on the treadmill for about 1.5 miles.
So I’ve got a good long ways to go. The good news is, I have time. The training plan I picked is from Runner’s World, and it’s a 12-week plan. I have about 4 months to build a solid running foundation before I start the real training.
